I am the Vice President of Environmental Services for MedStar Health headquartered in Columbia, MD. I've worked in the field of environmental services for over 40 years and began my career as a janitor in my hometown hospital in Fort Atkinson, WI. During my career I have led other hospitality departments including food and nutrition, patient transport, valet parking and security, however Environmental Services has been the common thread throughout. I've given a number of presentations over the years on topics related to cleaning and disinfection, and Environmental Services leadership throughout the country.
My wife and I live in Annapolis, MD, have four adult children who all still live in the Midwest (Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison), and a golden retriever named Bowie, who is a very good boy.
